*Drift Machines

The Nissan 180sx (or 240sx here in the USA) is a very popular drift platform for many to drive. It is easy to handle, with plenty of after market parts available for performance tunning. The 180sx was chosen due to a simple factor of the car's popularity amongst the drifters in Japan and the USA.

For many that are already up to speed on the nissan s-chassis, the SIL80 is a RPS13 with a PS13 Silvia Front end. This combo became very popular in Japan as it suited a factory Nissan "modification". It was never sold through Nissan as a option however in Japan, there were dealerships that were performing the cosmetic changes to be later sold as a "Sil80".

Technical Information:

Another popular drift platform is the Toyota Corolla, preferably the 1985-1986 GTS models here in the USA. With its lightweight frame and body construction, this car is ideal for drifting. Powered by a 1.6 liter N/A engine from the manufacture, many choose to perform engine swaps or simply rebuild the OEM engine for higher power output.
